Must-See TV

After a slow start on its first 12-hour day, the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship roared back to life on CBS with the highest three-day tournament average since 1993. Preliminary overnight data from Nielsen Media Research gives the tournament a 5.6 household rating/12 share, CBS Sports said Sunday afternoon. That's up 6% from last year (5.3/11) and level with the 5.6/13 preliminary rating CBS scored in 1993. The 1993 rating was the best the network had done since it got full TV rights in 1991. Thursday's third window -- in primetime on the East Coast -- suffered from stiff competition from NBC's lineup. But Friday's numbers recovered, and Saturday captured a 6.9/14 metered-market rating, which is up 8% from last year (6.4/14). It also was the best second-round average rating since 1993 (6.9/14).

Iowa State is (just barely) in the hunt against North Carolina. Villanova leads, but only by a few points, against Florida. Ditto for Southern Illinois over Oklahoma State. And Vermont and Michigan State are locked in a back and forth affair.
Indiana University men's basketball players have told confidants that coach Mike Davis is set to take the vacant head coaching job at Tulane, RTV6 has learned.
Sources also said that IU Athletic Director Rick Greenspan is set to meet with the IU board of trustees at the beginning of this week, and that Tulane Athletic Director Rick Dickson wants to know at about the same time whether Davis will accept the Tulane opening, RTV6 Sports Director Dave Furst reported Saturday.
The % Win Scenarios feature gives you an idea of how likely you are to win your pool. Of all the ways the tournament might end, the % win scenarios for each bracket is the percentage of those scenarios in which that bracket wins your league. In other words, if your "% Win Scenarios" is 37.7, then you win your league (or tie for a win) in 37.7% of the possible tournament outcomes.
The % win scenarios isn't exactly the same as your percentage chance of winning your league, since the win scenarios aren't necessarily equally likely to occur. If, on the other hand, each remaining game is essentially a coin flip, then the % win scenarios does represent your approximate probability of winning.
Considering % win scenarios, who is most likely to win the Bloggers Bracket?

According to sources in Miami, Hurricanes’ sophomore guard Guillermo Diaz may test the NBA Draft waters, which allow collegians to work out for GMs on the condition that if there’s no guarantee of a first round selection, the player may return to school without penalty.
