Happy LOI Day!

The big day for every school has finally come around, I want to be the first to wish each of you a very Happy LOI day!

Diaries ::

I'm a Gonzaga Bulldog, and I'm so fired up for what we've brought in with this recruiting classes.  Last week the 2007 recruiting class was ranked 11th nationwide.  Obviously this is meaningless without results on the other end of things, but a great sign of things (hopefully to come).  Since that ranking was posted, one of the top Juco players in the country signed on.

A quick summary of what we've got coming in next year:
Austin Daye - Said by many to be perhaps the best player on the West Coast (yes, the ENTIRE west coast).  The 6'10" Daye has a silky smooth jumper, good handles, and the ability to create his own shot.  The coaching staff here says the best comparison for Austin's game is Dirk Nowitzki.  He'll need some time in the weight room but this kid is going to be something special very soon.

Stephen Gray - Soon to be the Mr. Basketball of Washington state, young Mr. Gray is ready to lead his teammates at Bainbridge Island High School to a state championship.  At 6'2", Stephen is expected to step in next year and make an immediate impact.  That's really saying something when talking about a top level program such as GU.

Robert Sacre is the best big man in Canada right now.  He comes in at 7', 270 pounds and can already bang on the inside with the best of them.  Last year at camp he reportedly handled JP Batista on both the offensive and defensive end of the court.

Ira Brown - The JUCO phenom has finally picked a school for next season.  Ira was first team all american last season and will be a great addition to the Gonzaga team.  He's got the body and athleticism of PJ Tucker, with every bit of the game as well.  Ira will be an immediate impact player.
